Why I made it

I wanted to tell people about what I build, but I didn't know how to make a video and didn't want to spend hours editing. A video, though, is made of steps that repeat: idea, script, rehearsal, footage, animations, edit, corrections, release. And work that repeats is worth putting on rails. So I wrote the method as rules and skills, and built a studio around Claude Code that follows them step by step.

What you learn

Making a video is creative work, but much of it repeats, and that's where an agent pays off most. The method is text you read and change: the agent follows it and you decide at every step. The same pattern works for other repetitive work.

What it does

The method is yours: How a video gets made is written as rules and skills for Claude Code: you read them, change them, make them yours. Your profile holds how you speak, who you speak to, where you publish and what you don't say: where your profile changes a rule, your profile wins.
From idea to release, in chat: You bring an idea or some footage and Claude walks you, step by step, to the edited video with its caption. You always publish.
The timeline, to touch up by hand: Scenes, words, subtitles and sounds: drag, split, undo and redo.
The studio from your phone: Send footage from your phone to the computer, watch the finished videos and, if you want, use the whole studio away from home.
With a local model too: Instead of Claude Code you can use Mango Code: same rules and skills, with the model on your PC.
The same video in another language: Ask for «the English version»: subtitles, title, cover and the text in the animations change, the voice stays yours.

Where it's going

Mango Animation 0.1 is for Windows. It works with Claude Code, which uses your Claude subscription, or with Mango Code and a model on your PC. Footage and editing stay on your computer. An NVIDIA card makes it much faster, but isn't required. On first start it downloads programs and models: about 12 GB, 8 without NVIDIA. When you open the installer, Windows says “Windows protected your PC”: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
